#75 – Shadow of War and Fortnite Battle Royale

It’s been a delish week: Tegan finally got her hands on the much anticipated Middle-earth: Shadow of War and Michael lost his Battle Royale virginity with Fortnite. They say you never forget your first time, unless it’s your first time forgetting something, I guess.

This week we’re also discussing Golf Story, Star Wars Battlefront 2 Beta, Epic Games suing Fortnite cheaters, Super Mario Odyssey demo speedruns, Destiny 2 releasing on PC, Mike Laidlaw leaving Bioware, a new Game Boy trademark, IGN acquiring Humble Bundle and Cuphead.

And finally, we list our Top 3 Games with unique visual art styles, and play RESET Mini-game: Metacritic Zero User Reviews. And also: a big shout out and thank you to Aidan for this week’s intro theme.

#65 – Games we got in a cereal box

Here’s one of the kids: some breakfast cereals used to include free copies of video games. Don’t believe me? Well I mean, what’s your problem? It’s true. How exactly have I managed to gain your mistrust? Whatever, nevermind. We’re talking about that this week. But that’s not all, oh no no no. We’ve played indie gem Papers, Please and a little bit of Jackbox Party Pack 3.

This week we’re also discussing the Roo Teeth Charity Stream 2017, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Overwatch Summer Games (in Sydney), The Next Gamer: An Australia League of Legends reality show, The Witcher 3 colouring book, Stardew Valley multiplayer details, Sundered and indie game Comedy Night.

And finally, we list our Top 3 games we got in a cereal box, and play RESET Mini-game: Metacritic Zero User Reviews.

#53 – We miss gaming magazines and demo discs. And Alan Wake.

Ah the good old days when gaming magazines were plentiful and they came with demo discs, or CDs and DVDs full of glorious crap that you could never dream to download with dial-up internet. This week we’re clearly jumping on the nostalgia train, so get on board. Oh, by the way Alan Wake is being pulled from sale, so maybe go buy it first and then get on board.

This week we’re also discussing E3 2017, Paladins, Quake Champions, NBA Playgrounds, Tom Brady on the Madden 18 cover and the Madden Curse, Square Enix selling IO Interactive, Mass Effect Andromeda Patch, Assassin’s Creed: Origins rumour and Death Squared on Switch.

And finally, we list our Top 3 Gaming magazines and play RESET Mini-game: Metacritic Zero User Reviews.

#52 – Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is almost perfect

We’re back from our week off to bring you a personal record-breaking fifty second episode. And just in time too, because a lot has happened in the last couple of weeks. The highly anticipated Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has released, and despite the fact we played it years ago on the Wii-U; boy are we enjoying it. On the back of Mario Kart, we also discuss our thoughts on the Nintendo Switch two months after release. Oh, and one of us is playing horror game Outlast 2 (guess which one).

This week we’re also discussing the Nintendo 2DSXL, Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC Pack 1, Darksiders 3, Prey, AFL Evolution, IEM Sydney, Night Trap re-release, Pokemon Shuffle, Outlast 2, The Sexy Brutale and Kickstarter MMORPG Ashes of Creation.

And finally, we list our Top 3 Sequels and play RESET Mini-game: Metacritic Zero User Reviews.
